Dez Bryant wants challenge of facing Josh Norman

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is eager for the opportunity to square off against a genuine counterpart in Washington Redskins All-Pro cornerback Josh Norman on Sunday.

The Redskins will likely put Norman to better use after allowing Pittsburgh Steelers superstar Antonio Brown to run roughshod over cornerback Bashaud Breeland, giving their star cornerback just 13 snaps against the All-Pro receiver.

While Bryant, who was held to one catch for eight yards in Week 1, tried to downplay his and Norman's importance to their teams, he acknowledged that he's seeking a one-on-one matchup.

"I want the challenge just like (Norman) wants the challenge," Bryant said Thursday, according to NFL.com's Nick Shook. "It's going to be a fun game Sunday. Mutual respect from each other. We're just going to go out there and put on a good game. It's not about me or him, it's about each other's team."

He believes Norman is of the same mindset.

"Yeah, just because he was talking about going against the No. 1 receiver, following the No. 1 receiver," Bryant said. "I'm pretty sure he's going to get that opportunity Sunday."
