Texans' J.J. Watt: No back problems

Watt played 49 of Houston's 57 defensive snaps in the Texans' Week 1 win over the Bears, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

Watt, who was playing his first game since undergoing back surgery to repair a herniated disc in late July, "feels great," according to Houston head coach Bill O'Brien. The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year wasn't a disruptive force against the Bears, but that's to be expected. It may take a few weeks for him to get back up to his normal self, but Watt's presence forces opponents to scheme for him, which in turn creates opportunities for the linebackers to penetrate the backfield.
