Rams' Fisher doesn't believe in sophomore slumps for running backs

Just like he refuses to believe his team will go 7-9 (again), Los Angles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher refuses to believe his running back will hit a sophomore slump.

Fisher is relying on second-year back Todd Gurley to have a big season after finishing third in league rushing last year, telling Gary Klien of the LA Times that there's "no such thing as a sophomore slump" for running backs.

"I would assume that this thing's going to get better and better, as we get better up front … and we’re able to stay in games and get the ball in his hands," Fisher said about Gurley and the team's running game.

Gurley ran for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns through just 13 games as a rookie and will need to provide an even better performance if his team wants to break their 10-year playoff drought this year.
