Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is expected to miss Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers due to a knee injury suffered last week, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Bryant managed to finish the prime-time win over the Chicago Bears following a brief sideline stint, but an MRI later revealed a hairline fracture in his knee.

An official timeline has yet to be disclosed, but early reports indicate Bryant's absence could stretch anywhere from one-to-three weeks, seemingly backing head coach Jason Garrett's assertion that the injury shouldn't require an extended absence.

For the time being, Terrance Williams, Brice Butler, and Cole Beasley will round out the top three receivers for Dak Prescott.

Dallas will likely continue its reliance on a strong ground game to take pressure off the rookie signal-caller. Doing so will be more challenging with Bryant out of the lineup, however, as defenses should stack the box and force Prescott to beat them in always difficult third-and-long situations.
