Dolphins' Jay Ajayi: Listed behind Foster on depth chart

Arian Foster is listed ahead of Ajayi on the Dolphins' first depth chart of the regular season, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.

Analysis:

Ajayi sat atop the depth chart throughout the preseason while battling Foster for the starting job. Both running backs figure to get snaps and touches, but it's now clear that Foster is the favorite to lead the way. Head coach Adam Gase has made numerous comments praising the value of Foster's experience, and Ajayi didn't help his own cause by struggling throughout the preseason. Of course, Foster will have to play well and stay healthy -- both major challenges -- in order to retain the starting job.
