Edelman: Brady ban is 'like one of your buddies going to jail'

With the regular season a week away, New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman spoke to reporters Sunday and opined on not having quarterback Tom Brady for the first four weeks.

"Not gonna lie, it's like one of your buddies going to jail," Edelman said.

The Patriots are making it clear they're not happy they'll have to begin the regular season without their leader as he serves a suspension for his role in the Deflategate scandal.

"The whole situation is unfortunate, but it's happened," Edelman added. "We've got to move on. We love him to death. On the field, off the field, he's been a great help in my life."
