Panthers' Thomas Davis: Ready for regular season

Davis did not play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Steelers, but did feature in each Carolina's other three exhibition tilts.

Davis started the first three preseason contests, totaling one tackle in the first two before posting four stops in last week's dress rehearsal against the Patriots. Following that performance, the veteran was unsurprisingly rested for Thursday's preseason finale. After earning his first Pro Bowl nod last season, the 33-year-old is completely recovered from his broken arm suffered during the playoffs and primed from another big campaign next to Luke Kuechly at the heart of the Panthers' defense.
