Seahawks HC: 'No question' Rawls will be able to play Week 1

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll stated that running back Thomas Rawls should be ready for the team's regular season opener.

Carroll remains coy about Rawls' status for the team's final preseason game, but was confident about the second-year pro's status for Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins.

"He continued to have a great week," Carroll said via ESPN's Sheil Kapadia. "There's no question that he looks to be able to play in the opener."

Rawls is recovering from a fractured ankle suffered last December but returned to practice this summer without further incident. Prior to injury, Rawls rushed for 830 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games.

Christine Michael will take the majority of carries if Rawls isn't ready in time.
