Saints place Kikaha on PUP list

The New Orleans Saints have placed injured linebacker Hau'oli Kikaha on the physically unable to perform list to begin the 2016 season, according to multiple reports.

Kikaha suffered a torn ACL in June and was initially expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2016 season.

The Saints could have placed Kikaha on injured reserve if they did not believe he'd return this season, but the move to the PUP list means the second-year pass-rusher could return to practice in Week 7.

Having Kikaha return to the lineup would be huge for the Saints, as he was expected to be the defense's featured pass-rusher this season.
