Eagles' Alex McCalister: Out for year with torn calf muscle

McCalister (calf) was placed on the Eagles' injured reserve list Monday, DelawareOnline.com reports.

Analysis:

A seventh-rounder from this year's draft class, McCalister suffered the injury sometime during practice. He now figures to enter the 2016 campaign with a "redshirt" approach and try out for the team next season.
