Report: Seahawks to cut Brandon Browner

Joe Nicholson / USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks are expected to release cornerback Brandon Browner, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Browner returned to the Seahawks on a one-year deal after two seasons away from the team he broke into the NFL with. He won a Super Bowl with Seattle in 2013.

After contributing to his second straight Super Bowl with the New England Patriots in 2014, Browner signed with the New Orleans Saints but struggled mightily during the season.

Now 32, this may be the end of the road for Browner who appears to have lost a step.
