Report: Broncos trying to trade Sanchez

After naming Trevor Siemian as their starting quarterback earlier Monday, the Denver Broncos are now attempting to shop Mark Sanchez, reports Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

The Broncos hope to trade the veteran passer, but he could be cut Monday or Tuesday if no suitors can be found, notes Florio.

Denver traded for Sanchez from the Philadelphia Eagles for a conditional seventh-round pick at the beginning of the offseason, presumably hoping he would earn the starting role.

With the Broncos required to give the Eagles the seventh-rounder if Sanchez makes the roster, it appears the former first-round pick will be with a new team soon, one way or another.
