The Washington Redskins have signed veteran free-agent defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins, the club announced Monday.

Jenkins signed a one-year contract, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The 12-year pro signed after reportedly working out for the club earlier Monday.

It'll be the 35-year-old's third stint in the NFC East, after he spent two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and three with the New York Giants.

Jenkins spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Green Bay Packers.

Jenkins made his name as a strong interior pass-rusher, racking up 47.5 career sacks. The Redskins could look to use him in this capacity in their defensive line rotation.
