Offensive guard Geoff Schwartz is the most notable name among the Detroit Lions' first wave of cuts as the team trims its roster to 75 players.

He announced the move on Twitter:

Schwartz, who signed a one-year deal with the Lions in the spring, is reportedly healthy, and will likely generate some interest from guard-needy teams around the league.

Larry Warford and Laken Tomlinson are expected to start at guard for the Lions.
