Jets' David Harris: Expects to be ready for Week 1

Harris (shoulder) expects to be ready for Week 1 after receiving the results of an MRI on Sunday, ESPN"s Adam Schefter reports.

Analysis:

Harris will be held out of the preseason finale, which likely would have been the case even if he were healthy. Although he's coming off four straight seasons with 100+ tackles and at least two sacks, Harris isn't an overly safe IDP commodity, as the Jets may eventually consider using Erin Henderson and Darron Lee as their nickel 'backers. The 32-year-old Harris is a skilled blitzer, but his work in coverage leaves much to be desired.
