Jets' Devin Smith: Officially placed on PUP list

Smith (knee) was officially placed on the Jets' Reserve PUP List Sunday, which means he will not be able to practice or play for the team for the first six weeks of the season.

Analysis:

Smith tore his ACL back in December and was always a strong candidate to be placed on the PUP list. His absence shouldn't shake up the depth chart too much, especially with Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker expected to dominate the wideout targets this season.
