Raiders' Jalen Richard: Plays well against Titans

Richard rushed seven times for 35 yards and caught two passes for seven yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Titans.

Analysis:

Richard got a couple of carries with the Raiders' starting offense during the first half, but managed only four yards from those touches. Instead, most of his production came after halftime, particularly on Oakland's opening second-half series. Starting quarterback Derek Carr was still in the game at that point, which is encouraging for Richard, as is the fact that fellow rookie DeAndre Washington had a fumble returned for a touchdown to end that drive. While Washington was otherwise impressive, his error, along with Richard's solid production, keeps Richard in the mix for backup touches behind Latavius Murray going forward.
