Steelers' Jerald Hawkins: Placed on IR

Hawkins has been placed on season-ending IR due to a shoulder injury, Dale Lolley of the Observer-Reporter reports.

Analysis:

A fourth-round pick in 2016, Hawkins was expected to provide some depth for the Steeler's offensive line. He'd been dealing with recurring shoulder injuries throughout training camp of which the specifics were never divulged and the team decided to shut him down and let him recover in full for next year.
