Jets' Matt Forte: Makes Jets debut

Forte (hamstring) rushed 10 times for 28 yards and caught two passes for nine yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Giants.

Analysis:

Forte sat out the Jets' first couple of preseason games with a tight hamstring, but made his debut for the team Saturday. Although the veteran failed to find much running room, his 12 total touches all came during the first half, which should help him get up to speed ahead of the regular season. Forte could likely be held out of preseason finale to ensure his readiness for Week 1, so his outing against the Giants likely marked his only preseason appearance.
