Ravens' Justin Forsett: Starts against Lions

Forsett had two catches for 14 yards and two carries for zero yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Lions.

Analysis:

Forsett started and got the first touch, but Kenneth Dixon (leg/knee) was also heavily involved from the outset, with Terrance West even mixing in a little, according to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun. Forsett's lack of playing time this preseason suggests his starting job is safe, but his small workload has allowed the Ravens to get an extended luck at Dixon and West, both of whom have impressed. Dixon did exit Saturday's game with an apparent knee injury, but only after gaining 41 yards on six carries. Furthermore, Javorius Allen could also be involved in the offense, particularly on passing downs. Forsett figures to start Week 1 against Buffalo, but the extent of his workload remains to be seen.
