Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger: Plays two dominant drives

Roethlisberger completed 12 of 17 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns in Friday's preseason game against the Saints.

Analysis:

Making his first (and only) appearance of the preseason, Roethlisberger led the Steelers on a methodical opening drive, eventually connecting with TE Jesse James for a five-yard touchdown on a broken play. The second drive went even better, with Roethlisberger throwing a perfect deep pass to Antonio Brown for a 57-yard touchdown. The Steelers will need their prolific Roethlisberger-Brown duo at its best early in the year, as Le'Veon Bell is suspended for the first three games, while TE Ladarius Green (ankle) remains up in the air. The team already has to deal with replacing Martavis Bryant, who will be suspended for the entire season. Eli Rogers -- a 2015 undrafted free agent -- joined Antonio Brown and Markus Wheaton in three-wide sets with the first-team offense during Friday's game, working ahead of 2015 third-rounder Sammie Coates.
