Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas said he wasn't talking trash when he responded to Josh Norman's claims that he was shut down completely during Super Bowl 50.

Norman, now with the Washington Redskins, held Thomas to one catch for eight yards during the Super Bowl, and said he didn't know why the receiver showed up to the game.

However, Thomas and the Broncos emerged victorious with a 24-10 victory and he responded to Norman by posting a photo of his Super Bowl ring on Twitter.

Thomas reiterated his comments Thursday, noting that he was just stating facts.

"It wasn't trash. It was speaking fact. I don't got to talk trash. It was just speaking fact and I got tired of it, so I just said something," Thomas said via ESPN's Jeff Legwold.

The Broncos and Redskins don't play against each other this season, so both parties will need to wait until the Super Bowl for a prospective showdown. Denver opens up the regular season against the Carolina Panthers in a Super Bowl rematch.
