Giants' Victor Cruz: Expects to play Saturday

Head coach Ben McAdoo expects Cruz (groin) to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Jets. "I'm ready," Cruz added. "It feels like a long time since I've been out there. ... Now it comes to life this Saturday."

Analysis:

A groin injury has impacted Cruz's ability to practice and kept him sidelined during the Giants' first two preseason contests. With back-to-back full practices Tuesday and Wednesday, though, the team's training staff is likely confident that the oft-injured wideout can handle the rigors of game action for the first time since October of 2014.
