Report: No new evidence presented to players in PED interviews

Steve Mitchell / USA TODAY Sports

The NFL has reportedly conducted its scheduled interviews with three of the prominent players named in the Al Jazeera report on performance enhancing drugs.

Neither Clay Matthews, Julius Peppers, nor James Harrison were confronted with new evidence or allegations during their sit-downs, a source told ESPN's Dan Graziano.

The lone named player yet to be interviewed is free-agent defensive end Mike Neal.

Graziano's report indicates all has gone according to plan, and all four players expect to have their names cleared publicly. The NFL did as much with Peyton Manning after meeting with the now-retired quarterback earlier this offseason, so it may not be long before the others are exonerated.
