Jets' Matt Forte: Says he'll play Saturday

Forte (hamstring) said he will play in Saturday's preseason game against the Giants, The Record reports.

Analysis:

Forte was held out of the Jets' first two preseason contests, but he'll make his likely sole appearance before the regular season after returning to normal practice this week. Forte is expected to handle a bulk of the carries this season, so getting him some game reps before Week 1 was important.
