Report: Redskins' Stork considering retirement after trade

Greg M. Cooper / USA TODAY Sports

Former New England Patriots center Bryan Stork is weighing retirement after being traded to the Washington Redskins, according to multiple reports.

It's been an interesting day for the third-year veteran who was traded for an undisclosed draft pick on the heels of news he'd been released by the team that drafted him in the fourth round of the 2014 draft.

Retirement would be a surprising turn for the 25-year-old who's started 17 games during his two seasons in the NFL.

Upon news of his impending release, the Redskins jumped on an opportunity to upgrade the center position as Kory Lichtensteiger is currently penciled in as the starter.
