Redskins' Keith Marshall: Expects to receive first-team carries Friday
With Matt Jones (shoulder) ruled out for the remainder of the preseason, Marshall is expected to receive first-team reps in Friday's game against the Bills.
Analysis:
Both Marshall and undrafted rookie Rob Kelley are expected to get carries with the starting unit, according to head coach Jay Gruden. The two are in a close competition for the No. 3 spot on Washington's depth chart, leaving a legitimate chance that one back will be sent packing during roster cuts. If Marshall wants to edge out the competition, he'll need a stronger showing than his past preseason performances, as he's totaled 25 yards on 15 carries the past two games.
