Landry: Dolphins' uptempo attack made Cowboys defenders puke

The Miami Dolphins' offense will try to wear down its opponents this year by picking up the pace.

For what it's worth, that strategy appears to be yielding some results in the preseason, as wide receiver Jarvis Landry says Dallas Cowboys defenders were unable to keep up with their quick tempo in Friday night's game.

"I think we did OK," Landry said of Miami's offense. "I think you look at that game there were a couple of guys on their team throwing up while we were driving, so it'll be interesting to see for four quarters if those D-lines can hold up against our tempo and the way we want to move the ball down the field."

It's unclear whether Landry's account from Friday's game is accurate, but even the slightest issues opposing teams may have matching the Dolphins' pace is a positive sign.

Miami's offense, which ranked 26th or worse in three of four seasons under the previous regime, is looking to take a significant step forward in its first year under head coach Adam Gase.

Whether the unit finds success will depend largely upon the impact Gase can have on Ryan Tannehill's development. Constantly putting defenses on their heels could conceivably be the first step in positioning the young signal-caller to make good on his potential.
