Chiefs' Tyler Bray: Returns to practice
Bray (neck) returned to practice Tuesday and was working as the third-string quarterback, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:
Bray had a small chip fracture in his cervical spine, but it wasn't deemed a serious threat to his playing ability, thus allowing him to return to the practice field Tuesday. He was immediately inserted as the team's third-string quarterback, ahead of both Aaron Murray and Kevin Hogan. However, both Alex Smith and Nick Foles rank ahead of him on the depth chart currently, so if the Chiefs ultimately roster just two quarterbacks for the upcoming season, Bray could find himself as a practice squad candidate.
