Hall of Fame Game lawsuit against NFL dismissed

Kirby Lee / USA TODAY Sports

A lawsuit filed against the NFL and Pro Football Hall of Fame due to the cancellation of the Hall of Fame Game was dismissed in court Tuesday.

The case was dismissed without prejudice, as viewed on the court filing.

As a result of the game's cancellation, the Hall offered repayment on pre-paid parking, reservation fees, processing, shipping and handling fees, and an assortment of yearbooks, tickets, and the right to reserve tickets before the general public, as compensation.

This year's game between the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts was canceled due to unsafe field conditions, after a new coating of paint rendered the surface unplayable.
