Redskins' Josh Doctson: Expects to be ready for Week 1

Doctson (Achilles) is expected to be ready for Week 1, according to head coach Jay Gruden.

Analysis:

Doctson has been dealing with a lingering Achilles injury that has kept him on the PUP list. Gruden also made note that the wideout may be ready in time for the final preseason game, but the coaching staff hasn't made any official decisions at the moment. When healthy, Doctson has a chance to be the No. 3 receiver with Jamison Crowder (knee) also dealing with several injuries this preseason. The rookie is expected to work on running and cutting drills this week in practice, but will have to be removed from the PUP list before he can take the field in a game.
