Report: Steelers to host Keenan Lewis

The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to host free-agent cornerback Keenan Lewis on Tuesday, a source told Josh Katzenstein of The Times-Picayune.

Lewis, who was released Friday by the New Orleans Saints, spent the first four years of his career with the Steelers.

The 30-year-old played in six games last season before being placed on injured reserve due to multiple ailments.

The Steelers could have strong competition for Lewis' services, as six teams are interested in signing him, notes Katzenstein.

William Gay and Ross Cockrell are entrenched as the Steelers' starting cornerbacks, but Lewis could provide valuable veteran depth behind them.
