The Indianapolis Colts agreed to terms with cornerback Antonio Cromartie, the team confirmed Monday.

Financial terms were not released by the Colts, but Cromartie signed a one-year contract according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Cromartie spent last season with the New York Jets, paired alongside Darrelle Revis. The 32-year-old has been named to the Pro Bowl four times over the course of his career, including three straight seasons from 2012-14.

Pro Bowl cornerback Vontae Davis is nursing an ankle injury that will reportedly keep him out for at least the first month of the regular season, while free-agent acquisition Patrick Robinson is also battling through a groin ailment. As a result, Cromartie will be afforded an opportunity to contribute immediately.

"We'll look on the street. We’ll look wherever we have to look. By the 11th of September we'll fill an outfit that will be ready to go," Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said of the team's cornerback depth Monday to Mike Chappell of FOX 59.

Cromartie recorded 29 tackles in 15 games last season.
