Redskins' Josh Doctson: Increased activity planned

Doctson (Achilles) is expected to increase his activity level to include running and cutting drills this week, The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Doctson's strained Achilles has left him only able to jog and participate in team calisthenics to this point, but with the regular season fast approaching, the Redskins want to see if he can complete more activities this week. As a result, Washington's first-rounder is planning to test his Achilles by running and cutting. If all goes well, Doctson could hopefully be activated from the PUP list in time for the regular season, but he remains unavailable for the team as of now and would probably take some time to get up to speed even if ready for Week 1.
