Saints' Daniel Lasco: Projected to make final roster

Lasco gained 24 yards on 12 carries in Saturday's preseason game against the Texans. He is projected to make the Saints' final 53-man roster, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Analysis:

Although the final numbers were hardly impressive for the seventh-round draft pick, running lanes were nearly impossible to come by for any running back during the Saints' second preseason contest. In fact, Lasco's 11-yard rush was the longest by any Saints back during the game. More importantly, Lasco continues to impress as a gunner on special teams, which should help him secure a roster spot. The path to early playing time remains murky amidst a deep depth chart, but with each of his backfield mates having missed significant time over the last few years due to injuries, the uber-athletic Lasco could be worth a stash in deep leagues and dynasty formats.
