Raiders' Jalen Richard: Practicing on the side

Richard (knee) worked with team trainers on the side at Saturday's practice, Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

Despite missing Oakland's first two preseason games, the team remains optimistic that Richard will be ready to go for the start of the regular season. He's been impressive in his small sample size, and the Raiders are eagerly looking for someone who can give Latavius Murray a breather every once in a while.
