There's reason to be concerned if you're a New York Jets fan, as Ryan Fitzpatrick and Geno Smith struggled immensely Friday against the Washington Redskins.

Fitzpatrick started the game, going 4-of-9 for 35 yards. After a standoff that finally culminated in a one-year contract on July 27, Fitzpatrick appears to be shaking off the rust.

Smith didn't fare much better, going 6-of-13 for 47 yards. The fourth-year pro also tossed an egregious interception into triple coverage.

Bryce Petty was the most impressive of the Jets' quarterback trio, going 16-of-26 for 242 yards and two touchdowns, but it was all for naught as the Redskins emerged victorious, 22-18.

For the time being, the Jets' quarterback carousel seems to be unresolved.
