Falcons demand review of hit on Bosher

The Atlanta Falcons are demanding a review of a hit that knocked punter Matt Bosher out of Thursday's preseason game against the Cleveland Browns.

Bosher was taken out of the game after being hit by Browns linebacker Tank Carder while running downfield in punt coverage. The veteran punter exited the game with a chest injury.

Falcons head coach Dan Quinn is asking for a review of the play, imploring the NFL to determine whether Carder's action constitutes a defenseless hit.

"Certainly one I looked at and I'd like to ask the league their opinion on it, 'Is it a case of a defenseless hit or not?''' Quinn said to ESPN's Vaughn McClure. "I'm going to send it in to take a look at.

"The main thing is Bosher is OK. Definitely took a hit and got shook up, for sure. I talked to him today (and) he's definitely doing better. I'm not sure if he'll be available for us this week. It's something, I think, we'd have to go through the week and see where he's at. He'll be limited to start the week and we'll go from there.''
