Rams' Brian Quick: Not mentioned as part of competition

Rams head coach Jeff Fisher did not mention Quick when discussing the team's competition at wide receiver during Thursday's media session, Vincent Bonsignore of the LA Daily News reports.

Analysis:

This may have just been an honest mistake, as the Rams have a slew of wideouts competing for slotting behind Kenny Britt and Tavon Austin. In fact, Quick got work with the first-team offense in the Rams' preseason opener, making his only catch (a 13-yarder) on the second drive of the game. He did then play deep into the second quarter, which suggests he still needs to earn a role.
