Falcons' Vic Beasley: Sprains right shoulder

Beasley has a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder, but he's still expected to play in Atlanta's third preseason game, ESPN's Vaughn McClure reports.

Analysis:

Beasley missed Thursday's preseason game against the Browns, and while he may end up sitting out another exhibition, this doesn't sound like a threat to his Week 1 availability. Selected eighth overall in the 2015 NFL Draft, Beasley had just 20 tackles and four sacks while working in a part-time role as a rookie. He's expected to start and take on a considerable snap count this season, working as a hybrid linebacker/defensive end, with his role mostly focused on getting after the quarterback.
