Wilson: 2016 Seahawks most talented team I've been on

The Seattle Seahawks have been one of the league's most dominant teams during the Russell Wilson era, racking up 46 regular-season wins, seven postseason victories, and one Super Bowl title.

But of all the great squads the Seahawks have fielded around Wilson since he was selected in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the young passer believes 2016's version is the best yet.

"We've had great teams before, and I can honestly say that this is the most competitive and most talented team I think across the board," Wilson said Wednesday, according to Sheil Kapadia of ESPN.

When Pete Carroll was asked if he agreed with his quarterback, the head coach was more diplomatic.

"It's hard for me to compare it to the 2013 group, other than to know there were so many good players in that roster makeup," Carroll said. "It feels like that again. It feels like there's a lot of guys that can play. We can be comfortable with different guys moving in and out of the lineup, which means that we have a very competitive roster.

"So I don't disagree with him. We feel like there's a lot of guys at the receiver spot, there's a lot of running backs, a lot of corners. We're going to have a rotation at the D-line that we like. Those are all really good signs. The tight end position I think is going to be better than it's been. So those are all positives."

The Seahawks boast Pro Bowlers at nearly every position, especially on defense.

There's little doubt they're among the league's most talented teams, but with a questionable offensive line and the loss of All-Pro running back Marshawn Lynch to retirement, the jury is still out on if they're truly better than they were during their Super Bowl run in 2013.
