Sherman: Thomas is the Chuck Norris of football

Richard Sherman has the highest praise for Seattle Seahawks teammate and fellow Legion of Boom member Earl Thomas.

While many praise Sherman as the face of the Seahawks' terrifying secondary, the outspoken cornerback says it's Thomas who's the real star.

"Earl Thomas is kind of like, either the Dos Equis guy or Chuck Norris," Sherman said, according to Jayson Jenks of the Seattle Times. "He's a guy that is exactly who people think he is and better than the people who think he's the best. He's better than people who have the highest praise for him. He's better than that."

Sherman says, to truly understand what makes the three-time All-Pro so great, you have to see him every day.

"But people don't get to see him work on a daily basis," said Sherman. "They don't see how hard he goes, how hard he practices even when the practice doesn't matter. ... In walk-throughs, he doesn't let people catch the ball. He doesn't let people execute their plays when we're supposed to let the offense catch it. He just doesn't live his life that way."

Sherman added, "Nobody watches practice harder. Practice watches Earl Thomas. Earl Thomas does not watch practice."

According to Sherman, there's nothing his free safety can't do.

"I've seen him blend blades of grass, I've seen him catch footballs by looking at them," Sherman said. "The list is long of things Earl Thomas has done. I've seen him beat Chuck Norris up."
