Steelers' Ladarius Green: Spotted on side field

Green (ankle/concussion) was spotted running and cutting on a side field at Tuesday's practice, Chris Bradford of the Beaver County Times reports.

Analysis:

According to Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Green walked off the field "kind of gingerly" after he completed his individual work, though it doesn't sound as if he were sporting an obvious limp. The nugget might seem to suggest that Green's continued absence is more about his ankle than concussion concerns, but there have been persistent rumors that the 26-year-old is still bothered by headaches. It's actually possible both issues remain significant, which would explain why Green has made so little progress through three weeks of training camp. In any case, a return to team drills doesn't seem imminent, leaving Green no better than questionable to be ready for Week 1. With Heath Miller retired, the Steelers may have to rely on some combination of Jesse James, David Johnson and Xavier Grimble at tight end.
