Steelers' Ladarius Green: Currently in concussion protocol
Green (ankle) is currently in the concussion protocol, Ed Bouchette and Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Analysis:
Until Thursday, Green's continued absence from practice was attributed to his recovery from ankle surgery in January, but recurring headaches emerged as the true culprit. His agent confirmed as much about Green's ankle, telling Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL.com it's "fine." Thus, Green landed on the PUP list at the outset of training camp as he works his way through the concussion protocol, from which he'll need to receive clearance in order to practice. When (or if) that occurs, he'll be able to begin his quest to replace retired tight end Heath Miller.
