Pittsburgh Steelers' star wide receiver Antonio Brown was almost booted from Tuesday's joint practice with the Detroit Lions because of his behavior toward an official, reports Chris Adamski of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

The field judge in question, Terry Brown, told Adamski that the receiver would have been ejected from a normal game for his actions, and that he plans to report him to the league office.

"We're here to enforce the rules," Terry said. "This is their practice. He will do it here and get away with it. But if he thinks he can do that and get away with it in a game, he's got another thing coming."

The veteran pass-catcher was irate because the official did not throw a flag, responding in a manner that the official deemed unacceptable.

Terry told Darrius Heyward-Bey that the rest of the Steelers "better get (Brown) under control or I'm going to throw him out. He's not going to push me; I'm a veteran, 11 years. … I'm not going to tolerate it."

With the league imposing a rule for the 2016 season that has two unsportsmanlike conduct fouls leading to an automatic ejection, the Steelers should hope that Brown has got his frustrations out of his system.
