Patriots' Julian Edelman: Returns to practice

Edelman thus comes off the PUP list "a little earlier than anticipated," Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Meanwhile, the Herald notes that the wideout was able to participate in drills and catch passes Sunday, though he did not participate in the team's scrimmage. Assuming no setbacks down the road, Edelman remains on track to be a high-volume target in the Patriots' offense, which is slated to be helmed by QB Jimmy Garoppolo for the first four regular season games of the 2016 campaign.
