New England Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowki sat out a portion of the club's offseason program with an unknown injury.

It was not considered to be a serious issue, but with his worth to the offense and injury history, any ailment is notable for Gronkowski.

The nature of the injury has now been revealed, with sources telling ESPN's Dianna Russini that Gronkowski suffered a pectoral injury this offseason.

The four-time Pro Bowler is finally feeling "great," as training camp begins to ramp up, notes Russini.

Gronkowski has been a full participant in training camp, and there is no indication the injury was anything other than minor.

His representatives reportedly visited the Patriots' facility Wednesday to discuss as extension for the tight end.
