Lions' Marvin Jones: Impressing early on

Jones has impressed coach Jim Caldwell with his versatility during the opening days of training camp, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Analysis:

Jones signed a five-year, $40 million deal with the Lions this offseason and is immediately being tasked with assuming some of the responsibilities of the now-retired Calvin Johnson. To his credit, Jones has shown the ability to stretch the field with his speed and also make hay on crossing routes, all the while displaying strong hands. In doing so, he's built good early chemistry with quarterback Matthew Stafford, which bodes well for his fantasy prospects in a Lions passing attack with newfound opportunities for targets.
