Bills' Shaq Lawson: Placed on PUP list

Lawson (shoulder) was placed on the Bills' active/physically unable to perform list for the start of training camp, Mike Rodak of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Lawson had shoulder surgery back in May and was never expected to be ready for the start of camp. At this point it would not be a surprise if he remained on the PUP list for the duration of camp as the team's goal is simply for him to be ready to play by Week 1. While Lawson is out, look for Lorenzo Alexander to see some extra reps at outside linebacker.
