Browns' Robert Griffin: Leading quarterback competition

Griffin is the clear frontrunner in Cleveland's quarterback competition early on in camp.

Analysis:

It does not appear to be much of a competition at this point as Griffin took all the first-team reps on Friday's first day of training camp. Head coach Hue Jackson indicated Thursday that the team intends on naming a starting quarterback prior to their first preseason game Aug. 12, so barring a setback Griffin appears to be on track to claiming the starting role.
